Do you want to check your Happy DTAC (Thailand) GPRS balance? It’s very easy to check your GPRS balance using the automated service.

Subscribers of Happy DTAC GPRS can check their remaining GPRS balance by calling the following number:

*101*4*9#

After calling the given number, I received the following message:

Your request is being processed. Please wait for the SMS confirmation within 24 hours.

Just a few moments later I received an SMS message confirming the remaining GPRS balance and expiry date:

Your remaining recurring Happy Internet in this period is 755.07 Minute and valid until 08:43 of 28-Jul-10. This package is remaining for 34 period.

I guess that the “34 period” referred to the number of days remaining before the balance expired.

Happy DTAC customers who use pre-paid SIM cards can extend the validity of their mobile phone credit by using the confusing named Day Give-Away service. This service is ideal if you are planning an extended trip away or make few calls.

The service is priced very competitively as follows:

  • 2 baht / extend 30 days
  • 6 baht / extend 90 days
  • 12 baht / extend 180 days

If you have credit on your AIS One-2-Call Pre-Paid mobile phone SIM card, you can extend the validity of your credit so that it does not expire before you have used it. This is ideal if you make infrequent phone calls.

To extend the validity of your AIS One-2-Call credit you can use the AIS Mao Mao (เหมาๆ)  service. It costs 30 baht to extend the validity of your credit by 30 days. You will also be given 30 minutes free (mobile phones and landlines in Thailand) but the free minutes expire after 5 days.

If you extend your credit by 60 days, this will cost 60 baht and you will be given 60 free minutes. All free minutes will expire after 5 days.

To use the Mao Mao service to extend the validity of your AIS One-2-Call credit you should call the following number:

dial *500*9#
