Today (29 July) is National Thai Language Day (วันภาษาไทยแห่งชาติ) across the Kingdom of Thailand. This annual celebration of the Thai language was declared by the Cabinet on the 13 July 1999 (B.E. 2542).
We found this video on Youtube demonstrating Vaja text-to-speech software on an Android mobile phone. The software does a good job at converting Thai and English text to speech. Volume, speed and pitch can be changed.
Vaja text-to-speech software is available on Google Play for Android phones and devices. We don’t have an Android phone to try the software but are impressed with the version for Microsoft Windows.

Download Vaja text-to-speech software for Android devices from Google Play.

This program could be ideal for native speakers and learners of Thai as a foreign language. Text can be copied from any application (e.g. web browser) and pasted into jRaja for speech synthesis.
Download the installation program: jRaja (Vaja 6.0 Home Edition) (1514)

LEXiTRON is maintained by Thai staff and its users can suggest new words and definitions.
